Very successful ang first ever movie na pinagsamahan nina Sarah Geronimo and Gerald Anderson na Catch Me, I’m In Love kaya masayang-masaya ang dalawa sa suportang natanggap mula sa kanilang fans.

Maging ang dating kapareha ni Gerald na si kim Chiu ay masaya rin sa tagumpay na tinatamasa ng pelikula ngayon. “Masaya ako for them and congratulations! Sinabi ko naman iyon kay Gerald na sure akong blockbuster yun dahil siyempre Gerald tapos kasama niya pa si Sarah,” nakangiting pahayag ni Kim. Nagbigay din ng payo si Kim kay Gerald bago pa ipalabas ang pelikula sa mga sinehan. “Sinabi ko sa kanya na huwag siyang kabahan dahil sigurado akong blockbuster iyan,” kuwento pa ng dalaga. Hinding-hindi raw palalampasin ng young actress ang pelikula at siguradong panonoorin niya ito.

Samantala, ginulat ni Kim ang lahat sa kanyang sexy pictorials para sa Star Studio’s Sexiest Celebrities na kinunan kamakailan. Silang dalawa ni Gerald ang itinanghal na Sexiest Young celebrities. “Tiyan lang naman iyon, ‘tsaka pang-ano rin sa mga tao na lahat ng bumoto siyempre sayang naman yung daliri nila napudpod na sa kaboboto so sabi ko okay lang siguro mag-pose na ako ng ganito. Nagpapasalamat ako dahil ang daming text votes at ang daming bumoto,” paliwanag ni Kim.

May plano na ba siyang magtuloy-tuloy sa pagpapa-sexy o mag-pose for a men’s magazine? “Ay! Hindi, hindi po talaga ako magpo-pose for a men’s magazine. Nakakahiya yung katawan ko,” natatawang sagot ni Kim.

Gerald Anderson was overwhelmed with surprise when he saw the legions of screaming fans at the premiere night of his movie Catch Me…I’m in Love last March 22. The following day, he and leading lady Sarah Geronimo graced a thanksgiving press conference where they both expressed their gratitude to everyone who supported the film. Gerald said, “Siyempre sa simula pa lang ng film maraming may ayaw, mga kumukontra, lalo na ‘yung mga fans. Pero ngayon nakita namin na lahat ng Kimerald, Ashloyd, Popsters ang sumuporta sa pelikula namin kaya we’re very thankful.”

Last year when reports of a Gerald-Sarah movie pairing first surfaced, many fans had violent reactions, particularly those who are loyal to Gerald’s longtime love team with Kim Chiu and the followers of Sarah’s big screen tandem with John Lloyd Cruz. But when production for Catch Me began and a trailer was released, more and more fans become excited over the project instead.

Another thing that Gerald is very thankful for is that Catch Me…I’m in Love paved for him to forge a friendship with Sarah. The two would only run into each other backstage at ASAP before but never had the chance to have a friendly chat. “Dito lang kasi sa project na ito nagkakilala talaga ni Sarah. I’m so thankful na because of this movie naging friends kami. Sana tuloy-tuloy na. If ever magkaka-project uli kami. Sarah is a nice person and she’s a great friend,” said the young actor.

Given that Gerald and Sarah are both single at the moment, and they seem to have a great chemistry together, many are curious about the possibility of romance in real life. Gerald clarified that he signed up for the movie project without any personal agenda. “Pareho kami ni Sarah na pumasok sa movie na ito na ang gusto lang namin is maging successful. Trabaho lang talaga.” But the Action Drama Prince would rather leave everything to fate. “Pero hindi naman natin napaplano. Kung may ibang babae para sa akin o ibang lalaki para kay Sarah, hindi natin masasabi sa ngayon.”

Any man would find it very easy to be attracted to Sarah, according to Gerald. “Sarah is girlfriend material. Lahat ng qualities na pwedeng magustuhan ng isang lalaki sa isang babae, meron si Sarah. She’s pretty, talented, down-to-earth, mabait,” he said. Gerald, however, would rather not comment on the still controversial past relationship of Sarah with Rayver Cruz. “Labas na po ako diyan,” said Gerald.

During the filming of Catch Me…I’m in Love, Gerald said that Sarah’s parents, Delfin and Divine Geronimo, were very nice to him. Daddy Delfin and Mommy Divine have been known to be very protective of their daughter, but Gerald said he understands if they’re that way with the Pop Star Princess. “Mabait sila. Very supportive sila sa bawat eksena namin. Sobra nilang inaalagaan si Sarah. Sobrang bilib ako. Mahigpit sila pero dapat lang. Kung anak ko si Sarah talagang aalagaan ko. Bilib nga ako sa pamilya nila.”

Rayver Cruz said that he is glad that current girlfriend Cristine Reyes and ex-girlfriend Sarah Geronimo finally ended their rift last Sunday, March 20, at the backstage of ASAP. Rayver did not witness the reconciliation because he was inside his dressing room when the incident happened and that he was only told about it a little after it happened.

“Hindi ko nga alam, nasa dressing room [ako]. Pero nung sinabi sa akin, eh ‘di happy ako para sa kanila, para sa kanilang lahat, para sa lahat. Basta happy ako,” he explained.

At the time of the interview, Rayver said that he and Cristine have not yet talked about the incident. “Hindi kami masyadong nakakapag-usap ni AA (Cristine) ‘pag sa ASAP, eh kasi iba ‘yung room namin.”

Push.com.ph was among the few who saw the emotional episode. Sarah called out to Cristine who was heading to the ASAP stage at that time. Sarah then hugged Cristine and said sorry while she was trying to hold back tears. Cristine accepted Sarah’s apology and then she also apologized to Mommy Divine, who was a few steps away from them.

Rayver explained that he was not surprised when he learned that Sarah was the one who made the first move. “Ever since naman ganun naman talaga ‘yun,” Rayver described Sarah. The actor stressed that since Sarah and Cristine are okay now, he is hoping that others will also forget about the issue and move on. “Tapos na, let’s put it sa past na. Matagal na ‘yon di na kailangang ibalik-balik pa,” said Rayver.

Meantime, the actor revealed that he and Cristine recently went on  a trip to Bangkok together with some of their friends. He added that he enjoyed the trip a lot and that it was a well-deserved break for both of them after working hard on their respective careers.  “Kinailangan din namin ‘yon kasi ‘yun na ang pinakapahinga din namin so, enjoy.” He said that they only stayed there for three days, but he is still thankful for the break even if it was just short.  “Kahit simpleng three days malaking bagay na ‘yon,” he said.

After being paired together in the series Momay and also in the upcoming movie Tum: My Pledge of Love, Ejay Falcon said he and Queenie Padilla have definitely become closer, but just in a platonic way. Although there are rumors that the two young stars are already a couple, Ejay was quick to clarify that he has not even made any moves on his co-star. “Ang totoo talaga, mag-best friend kami. Mahirap kasi pagsabay-sabayin pa yan. Kasi ayoko din naman na ligawan siya tapos wala naman akong sapat na panahon para sa kanya. Baka sabihin niya ang busy ko masyado. Tapos pag ibang project na i-start ko, ibang leading lady na naman yung makakatrabaho ko.

Of their month-long stay in India to film the movie, Ejay said there was more than enough time to get to know Robin Padilla’s eldest daughter. “Namamasyal kami. Nakapag-shopping kami, yun lang. Dahil dun, mas nakilala ko siya nun. Tapos ‘pag wala kaming take, hindi kami kinukunan, nagkuwe-kuwentuhan kami. Nag-uusap kaming dalawa tungkol sa mga buhay namin. So ngayon alam ko na parang ay ganito pala si Queenie, ganun klaseng tao pala siya,” he recalled.

The 21-year-old actor admitted he was happy to discover that Queenie had the qualities he was looking for in a potential girlfriend. “Gusto ko talaga yung pagiging masayahin niya. Ako kasi seryosong tao eh. Tahimik lang ako sa isang sulok kung mapapnsin niyo. So ‘pag andiyan si Queenie, napapatawa niya ako. Gusto ko yung maingay at masayahin na tao. ‘Pag may maingay tapos yung humahalakhak tapos biglang kukurotin ako. So ako nagiging makulit na rin ako. Sa Momay tahimik lang talaga ako tapos linalapitan ako ni Queenie kaya nagiging makulit ako. Tapos gusto naman ng ibang mga tao na maging makulit ako. Kasi parang bagong Ejay ito, nag-jo-joke joke,” he shared.

In Tum: My Pledge of Love, Ejay plays the role of man who is conflicted in his religion and must overcome a lot of trials to be with the woman he loves. “Unang-una kasi, itong pelikula na ito, kung talagang tatangkilikin ng masa, ng lahat ng tao. Nakaka-proud kasi sa India namin shinoot tapos talagang yung hirap na pinagdaanan namin, talagang sobrang hirap kung tutuusin. Mainit doon tapos yung mga kinakain namin dun medyo maanghang. Sana talaga suportahan kasi kakaiba yung story nito. Tungkol sa mga kultura ng mga iba’t ibang tao at iba’t ibang relihiyon. Christian ako dito na naging Muslim na naging Hindu,” he said.

Aside from working in a foreign land, Ejay said he faced other kinds of challenges in this project. “Siguro ang pinakamahirap sa akin na ginawa ko dito is dahil kasi nag-i-Ingles ako dito. Tagalog kasi talaga ako magsalita tapos yun, medyo pinag-aralan ko talaga kung paano kasi mas gusto ko pa yatang umiyak na lang, magalit, umarte ng ganun, pa-action action. Mas gugustuhin ko pa yun kesa mag-Ingles ng talagang tuloy-tuloy. Pangalawang challenge sa akin yung pagsayaw kasi may sayaw kami dun. Medyo nahirapan din ako dun. May konting sayaw kami dun na alam kong kaya ko pero naiilang ako. Medyo nahihiya ako tapos yung isa pa palang mahirap yung sumakay sa kabayo. Nung nasa probinsya ako, sumasakay talaga ako sa kabayo pero dun kasi sa India, iba yun eh. Basta parang nakakailang na pala talaga pag may mga camera. Nakakailang rin para sa kabayo, baka bigla siyang tumayo, ganun. Nakapag-practice practice muna ako tapos yun tumatakbo na kaya nagawa ko naman,” he admitted. Ejay revealed he asked help from his Muslim friends on how to approach his role.

But one of the most unforgettable moments Ejay had in India was something that touched him deeply. “Hindi ko talaga makakalimutan yung mga nakilala kong tao dun. Kasi yung mga tao dun, ayoko naman sabihing pulubi, pero yung mga wala talaga. Yung alam mong hindi marunong mag-cellphone, hindi marunong mag-internet tapos nakatapak lang sila tapos yung iba walang mga damit. Kumbaga sila yung nagpapaalala sa akin na huwag ko dapat sayangin kung ano yung meron ako ngayon kasi ang suwerte ko pa rin. Kasi nung nakita ko sila, sinabi ko yun kay Queenie, ‘Tingnan mo sila. Paano kung nandito ka tapos Makita mo ako na isa ako sa mga yun, bibigyan mo ba ako ng isang daan?’ Parang naiiyak talaga ako nung nakita ko yun. Ngayon mas naa-appreciate ko kung anong meron ako ngayon na dapat na talagang pangalagaan. Ibang-iba yun sa mga mahihirap doon at mahihirap dito,

Renz Fernandez makes his acting debut by playing leading man to Kim Chiu in the final episode of Your Song presents Kim airing on March 27. Renz is the youngest son of acclaimed actors Lorna Tolentino and the late Rudy Fernandez. In an interview with the entertainment press, the 25 year-old said it had been his childhood dream to be in the same industry as his parents. “Bata pa lang ako gusto ko na mag-artista. Kaya lang nag-promise ako kay Papa na tatapusin ko muna ‘yung pag-aaral ko. Natapos ko na po ‘yung studies ko nung October. Tama naman ‘yung desisyon niya. Ngayon mas may disiplina na ako. Mas kaya ko nang mag-focus. Ngayon hahabulin ko na ang pangarap na ‘yun.”

Renz’s older brother Rap Fernandez was recently introduced in Wansapanataym presents Rod Santiago’s Buhawi Jack co-starring with Gerald Anderson. Renz dismissed speculations of a sibling rivalry between him and Rap. “Magkaiba kaming tao ni Kuya. Ang weaknesses ko, strengths niya. Ang weaknesses niya, strengths ko naman. Sabihin na nating mas maliit ‘yung tiyan ko kay Kuya, ha ha ha! Pero kung sa pagiging creative naman, siya ang mas bagay na tao para dun. Matalinong tao ‘yun.”

Renz admitted that he is feeling a bit sad that his father is no longer present to see him and Rap join showbiz. “Nakaka-sad. Sana lang nakikita niya kami mula sa taas. Sana proud siya sa amin.”

For his acting debut in Your Song, Renz expressed his deep gratitude for being paired with Kim who is regarded as a Primetime Princess of ABS-CBN. “Feeling ko napaka-blessed ko na nakatrabaho ko si Kim para sa unang unang trabaho ko. I feel honored. Thank you talaga. Sobrang taas ng gratitude ko sa ABS-CBN, sa inyong lahat.”

Being the newbie on the set, Renz confessed the numerous times he forgot his lines, and it was mostly because he would be distracted by Kim’s beauty. “Mabait na babae ni Kim. Madalas ko ngang makalimutan ‘yung mga linya ko dahil sobra niyang ganda. Na-star struck ako. Nag-meet kami sa tent. Ipinakilala kami ni Direk Jerry (Sineneng). Nakita ko ‘yung mata niya. Sabi ko, ‘Uy! Ang ganda naman nito!’ Napaka-talented. Magaling na artista. Mabait.”

But Renz admired how patient Kim was with him. “Mapasensya rin kasi nga ang dami kong mali sa mga eksena namin. Pero okay lang sa kanya. Nakailang take kami, seven o eight yata kaya nakakahiya. ‘Yun talaga ang maganda kay Kim. Tinext ko siya, nag-sorry ako sa mga eksena namin. Sabi ko tensyonado kasi ako. Nag-promise ako na next time aayusin ko. Sabi niya okay lang naman daw.”

Having revealed that he is currently single, does Renz have any plans of courting Kim? “Tingnan na lang natin, ha ha ha! Nasa destiny ‘yan. Girlfriend ko ngayon ang acting. Sana mas magmahalan kami ng todo para maging maganda ang kalabasan.”

Did he wish that he had a kissing scene with Kim in the Your Song episode? “Bakit naman hindi?! Sino ba ang hindi papayag? ha ha ha!”
