Gerald Anderson and Sarah Geronimo admitted in their interviews that they have grown more comfortable with each other while shooting for their highly anticipated movie Catch Me, I’m In Love which is coming up this March 23.
Gerald revealed that during their first shooting days, Sarah was uneasy with him, until she committed a blooper which helped them be more at ease with each another. The actor shared that in a scene where their faces needed to be really close, Sarah tried to suppress a laugh so she accidently sprayed saliva on Gerald’s face. “Sabi ko nga buti na lang nangyari ‘yon kasi kumbaga ‘yun ang ice-breaker and ‘yun simula no’n mas naging magaan,” shared Gerald and then joked, “Siguro magandang way din ‘yon, gagawin ko rin ‘yun sa mga leading lady ko.” The scene that the actor was referring to was the one shown in the trailer when he caught Sarah from falling when he opened the car’s door.
Gerald also said that he really admires Sarah’s family, specifically Mommy Divine, who is always with the Pop Star Princess to attend to her needs while shooting. “Pinoy [trait] kumbaga, mas nakaka-attract ‘yung mas conservative na babae na mahal ‘yung pamilya.”
He denied that the over-protectiveness of Sarah’s parents has hindered him from getting close to the singer-actress. “Sa akin, like I said, mas na-attract ako sa mga ganung sitwasyon, conservative. Bata pa lang si Sarah ganun na, she’s very lucky to have parents like that.” Gerald continued that he believes that Sarah’s parents did a great job in raising her to be down-to-earth and caring and is glad that he is friends with Sarah. “Sa ngayon friends lang kami. Sobra ko siyang ina-admire talaga.” He described Sarah’s family as really loving and added that he is also friends with the singer’s parents.
Since Gerald is also a good friend of Rayver Cruz, some members of the press asked Gerald during his recent birthday press con if he and Sarah sometimes talk about the Rayver, who is Sarah’s ex-boyfriend. “Wala. Hindi namin pinag-uusapan ‘yan kumbaga gusto namin magaan ‘yung set,” he answered.
He also added that there is no reason for him to worry about being caught up in the middle of Sarah and Rayver’s issues. “Hindi naman. Hindi naman ako kasama sa sitwasyon, kung anuman ang nangyayari. Kaibigan ko si Rayver, leading lady ko si Sarah, but magkahiwalay ‘yon.”
